In a bowl, combine the warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Stir in the olive oil, salt, and egg into the yeast mixture.
Gradually add the bread flour and mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions.
Shape each portion into sub rolls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and shredded cheese on top of the rolls.
Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
