Heat a skillet to medium-high heat.
Add ground beef, onions and garlic to the skillet and cook until beef is browned, breaking into small pieces.
Add tomato paste and seasonings, stirring to combine and cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
Grate in the zucchini, add broth and dry pasta. Stir to combine and make sure most of the pasta is covered in liquid.
Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until pasta is tender. Stir frequently to ensure pasta doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
Remove from the heat and stir in the shredded cheese.
