How To Pretreat Fruit For Dehydrating
  1. Use lemon or lime juice, pineapple or orange juice, or other fruit juice that contains citric acid to prevent oxidation

  2. Soak fruit in a solution of citric acid, ascorbic acid or crushed vitamin C tablets, or sprinkle with Fruit Fresh

  3. Soak fruit in undiluted lemon or lime soda

  4. Boil pectin with sugar and water, mix with water to glaze the fruit

  5. Dip fruit in a mixture of honey and lukewarm water

  6. Follow a tutorial for using sulfite dip if desired (with caution)

  7. Simmer fruit in a simple syrup made with water or fruit juice
