Easy Onion Tart by Chefkoch

Combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Make a well in the center and pour in the cold water. Add the soft butter and knead everything into a dough. Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes.

Later, roll out the dough on a floured work surface to fit your baking sheet. Place it on the baking sheet and press the edges up.

For the topping, whisk the eggs and cream together with an immersion blender and season with salt, nutmeg, and pepper.

Peel and halve the onions, then slice them into strips. Dice the bacon. Sauté both in a pan with the butter and oil until golden brown. Remove the pan from the heat, add the egg mixture, and stir it in. Season to taste.

Spread the topping over the dough, sprinkle with cheese, and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 30 minutes. A young, slightly fermented white wine or a well-chilled white wine pairs well with this dish.
