Spicy Dads

Butter or margarine, softened - 1 cup (250 mL)

Granulated sugar - 1 cup (250 mL)

Brown sugar, packed - ½ cup (125 mL)

Egg - 1

Molasses - 2 tbsp. (30 mL)

Vanilla - 1 tsp. (5 mL)

All-purpose flour - 1 ½ cups (375 mL)

Rolled oats - 1 ½ cups (375 mL)

Coconut - 1 cup (250 mL)

Baking powder - 1 tsp. (5 mL)

Baking soda - 1 tsp. (5 mL)

Cinnamon - 1 tsp. (5 mL)

Nutmeg - 1 tsp. (5 mL)

Allspice - 1 tsp. (5 mL)

Cream butter and both sugars together. Beat in egg. Add molasses and vanilla.
Stir remaining ingredients together and add. Mix well.
Drop by spoonful onto greased baking sheet. Press with floured fork.
Bake in 300°F (150°C) oven until golden, about 12 minutes.
