Prepare the Sandwich Spread:
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Set aside.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Lay 4 slices of bread on a flat surface.
Spread a layer of the mayonnaise-mustard mixture on each slice.
Add 1 slice of cheddar cheese, followed by a few slices of turkey, 2 slices of cooked bacon, and a tomato slice (if using).
Top with the remaining bread slices. Spread butter evenly on the outer sides of the bread.
Cook the Sandwich:
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Place the sandwiches on the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Cut in half and serve warm with fresh lettuce on the side or tucked inside the sandwich for crunch.
