Activate the Yeast: In the bowl of your mixer (or a large bowl), dissolve the yeast in warm water.
Mix the Dough: Add sugar, oil, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead: Knead in your mixer for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. (You can absolutely knead by hand — that’s how I made these the first time.)
Shape the Breadsticks: Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface and cut into breadstick shapes.
Butter & Season: Place on a greased baking sheet. Brush generously with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic bread seasoning.
Bake: Bake at 350°F for about 22 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden and the breadsticks are soft and fluffy.
