Make a slurry with the tap-hot water, baking soda, and cornflour.
Chuck the tofu in the slurry for a couple of minutes.
Remove the tofu from the slurry and place it in a pre-heated air fryer for 10-12 minutes at 200°c or on a non-stick tray in the oven for ~20 minutes, until the outside is golden and crispy.
