Mix softened butter with minced garlic cloves
Add chopped parsley and chive to the butter mixture
Stir in grated grana padano or parmesan cheese
Add lemon zest and lemon juice
Mix in Dijon mustard or dry mustard powder
Add sherry or malt vinegar
Season with kosher salt and black pepper
Finely chop or mash anchovies and fold into the butter mixture
Slice the bread and spread the garlic butter mixture generously on each slice
Toast or bake until golden and crispy
