Sauté the onions and garlic in olive oil or butter
Cook beef, drain any grease
Add in your marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, broth & seasonings.
Stir and cook on medium for 1 hour
Add in your heavy cream and lasagna noodles OR 3-4 cups of Mafalde Corte noodles
Cook for an additional 30 minutes on high or until lasagna noodles are ready.
Pour in a bowl and top with your favorite cheese (I use ricotta)
Stir every few minutes. If you’re using a regular pot instead of a Dutch oven, lower the heat and stir more frequently.
If you want to use a crockpot, cook 3-4 hours on high (cook the meat before placing in the crockpot) and then add the lasagna noodles and heavy cream and cover on high for another 30 minutes.
