Camembert Garlic Bread With Honey Glazed Walnuts And Bacon
  1. Preheat the oven to 180c fan.

  2. Combine the butter, garlic, parsley and seasoning. Spread this over the ciabatta half.

  3. Remove the top and bottom rind from the Camembert if you want. This isn't essential and makes it harder the handle, but gives a nicer finished product. Slice into ½cm strips. Lay these evenly across the bread. Place the bread onto a baking tray.

  4. Cook for 10/15 minutes until melted and starting to brown. Switch to the grill and grill for a few more minutes until golden.

  5. Meanwhile, fry off the bacon in a frying pan, over a high heat, until crisp. Remove and chop into rough ½cm pieces.

  6. Place the pan, including the bacon fat, back onto a low/medium heat and toast the walnuts for a few minutes. Return the bacon, add the chilli flakes and drizzle with honey. Stir and cook for minute until well glazed.

  7. Once the cheese is golden, remove the ciabatta from the oven and top with the glazed walnut and bacon pieces. Finish with chives and a drizzle of honey, slice up and enjoy!
