Korean Short Ribs
  1. Soak ribs in cold water for 15 minutes

  2. Rinse, drain and pat dry

  3. Peel asian pear and add to blender with onion, garlic and water. Blend until smooth

  4. Pour contents into bowl and add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, salt, pepper and brown sugar

  5. Whisk everything together and pour over ribs

  6. Coat ribs with marinade and place in refrigerator

  7. Marinade for at least 6 hours, but over night is best

  8. Remove ribs from marinade and place on wire rack to remove excess marinade

  9. Grill on medium high heat 6-8 minutes on each side or until fully cooked
