Preheat oven to 180ºC.
In a greased oven-safe container/baking tray (15-20x15-20), combine the apple sauce (OR mashed banana), followed by the oats, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, nut/seeds, honey/maple, vanilla extract (optional), chocolate of choice, and milk. Mix until well combined. Optional to garnish with left-over chocolate (flakes or chips).
Place in the oven and cook for about ~35-40 minutes, or until firm to touch.
Allow oats to cool in the container/ tray before cutting. Loosen the edges with a knife in the meantime.
Upon serving, cut into 4/6 servings. If serving warm the next day - reheat a slice in the microwave for ~1 minute, or serve as is/cold. Serve with yoghurt and fruit of choice.
