Ingredients:
12 oz bowtie pasta
1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
2 cups Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 cup milk
½ cup heavy cream
1 tbsp olive oil
1 bell pepper, diced
½ onion, chopped
½ cup frozen peas (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Cook the bowtie pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the diced bell pepper and chopped onion to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the milk and heavy cream, bringing it to a simmer. Gradually add the Velveeta cheese cubes, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
Add the cooked pasta and peas (if using) to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy cheese sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
