Add pasta, milk, water, butter, and salt onto a pan.
Bring to a simmer, then turn the heat low and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
Mix in cheese, and check seasoning.
N.B. made once with (a) a bit less milk:water (b) extra mature cheese (c) having to blast heat at the end of the cooking, and sauce split. Assume it was (c), but assistant can be more likely with (b). Caution!
