Same Day No Knead Crusty Bread Rolls
  1. In a large bowl, combine lukewarm water, yeast, and olive oil. Stir gently.

  2. Add in the flour and salt, and mix until a sticky dough forms.

  3. Cover and let the dough rest for 10–25 minutes.

  4. After resting, stretch and fold the dough from all sides — lift one edge, fold it over the center, and repeat all around.

  5. Cover again and let the dough rise until doubled in size, about 1½ to 2 hours, depending on room temperature.

  6. Once doubled, use a spoon to scoop portions of the dough directly onto a parchment-lined baking tray. Sprinkle with chia seeds or your favorite toppings, then dust lightly with flour for that rustic look.

  7. Preheat your oven to 225°C (437°F) and place a tray of water on the bottom rack while it preheats — the steam will help create that perfect crust.

  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and beautifully crusty on top. Remove the water tray after 10 minutes or spray water in the oven to create steam.

  9. Transfer to a wire rack and cool slightly before serving.
