Zuppa Toscana 🥣🌿
Ingredients:
1 lb Italian sausage (substitute with turkey or chicken sausage)
4 slices bacon, chopped
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
3 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
3 cups kale, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
Cook sausage and bacon in a large pot until browned. Set aside.
In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic in olive oil until softened.
Add chicken broth and potatoes. Bring to a boil and simmer until potatoes are tender.
Stir in cooked sausage, bacon, and kale. Cook for 5 more minutes.
Add heavy cream, season with salt and pepper, and simmer until everything is heated through.
Notes:
Try spinach as a kale alternative for a milder taste! 🥬
