Make sure the banana is super ripe. It will taste sweeter and blend smoother.
In a personal blender, combine the banana, ¼ cup (60ml) cream *see headnote, 1 Tablespoon (15ml) sugar, ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
Blend until smooth. Shake up the blender cup, then blend again. Repeat a couple times of blending and shaking until everything is super well blended and smooth. You can save the banana cream in the fridge for later, or make the banana latte immediately. If using later, you might need to briefly re-blend the cream.
Add ice to a couple glasses, pour in the cold coffee, then top with a few tablespoons of the banana cream.
Stir well to incorporate the banana cream. At first it will look chunky, but if you blended the banana cream well, as you stir it will incorporate smoothly. Enjoy!
