Preheat the oven to 325°F (~163°C).
Melt and brown the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla. Mix until incorporated.
Add the eggs to the butter mixture and mix until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking soda.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until almost combined.
Add the chocolate chips and mix until fully incorporated.
Form the cookies using a tablespoon of dough and place them on baking sheets 1-2 inches apart.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Let the cookies cool slightly on the baking sheets before transferring to a cooling rack.
