In a mixing bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the Persian pomegranate molasses chicken marinade until completely combined. You can alternatively blend this marinade together in a blender if you don't want onion pieces in your marinade. Rub the marinade all over the chicken. Marinate overnight for the best flavor. The next day, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Lay the marinated chicken flat on top of the parchment paper. Brush the chicken with extra pomegranate marinade.
Bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Turn oven on broil after 45 minutes and broil the chicken for 5 minutes until nice and crispy on top. Serve with Arabic yellow rice. Enjoy!
Note: Easy pomegranate syrup chicken recipe can be made even easier by popping it into the air fryer! Bake your chicken in the air fryer for about 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees or until the thermometer reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit internal temperature.
