Garlic Parmesan Orzo With Seared Steak
  1. Season steaks generously with salt, pepper, and steak seasoning.

  2. Sear in a hot skillet 4 minutes per side for medium.

  3. In the last 2 minutes, add butter + crushed garlic and baste.

  4. Remove and let rest (keep all those juices).

  5. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté shallot + garlic until fragrant (about 2 minutes).

  6. Add orzo and toast for 1 minute.

  7. Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer ~10 minutes, stirring halfway through.

  8. Add more broth if needed until orzo is tender.

  9. Stir in heavy cream and parmesan until creamy and smooth.

  10. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

  11. Slice steak and return it (with ALL juices) back into the pan.

  12. Top with parsley and serve.
