Crispy Fried Onion Scalloped Potatoes
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease 9×13” baking dish.

  2. Melt butter, whisk in flour for 1 min. Gradually add milk & broth, whisking until thickened (5-8 min).

  3. Stir in roasted garlic, herbs, seasoning, salt & pepper. Remove from heat, add 1 cup cheese. Stir until melted. Don’t over-salt, cheese adds plenty!

  4. Layer potatoes in dish. Pour sauce over. Top with remaining cheese. Cover with foil, bake 50 min. Uncover, bake 15 min more until fork-tender.

  5. Heat oil to 350°F. Toss onions with flour, fry 2-5 min until golden. Drain on paper towels, sprinkle with salt.

  6. Top potatoes with fried onions, garnish with herbs. Serve hot!
