Small Batch Yeast Rolls
  1. Pour warm water (temperature of 105 to 115 degrees F) into a small bowl and add the sugar and yeast. Quickly stir and let it sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is activated and foamy.

  2. Grease a small square or rectangular baking dish.

  3. Into a stand mixer bowl or large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, egg, olive oil, and yeast mixture. Knead with a dough hook for about 5 minutes or until smooth.

  4. Divide the dough and shape it into 4 balls.

  5. Place balls in the prepared baking dish and cover with a cloth. Allow rising for 30 minutes until almost doubled the size in a warm place.

  6. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.

  8. Brush with melted butter while still hot and serve.
