Break off the woody ends of the asparagus.
Mix plant-based milk, baking soda, potato starch, salt, and pepper on a large plate.
Briefly dip rice paper into the mixture, ensuring it is well coated.
Place on a board and wait briefly until it softens.
Halve the rice paper and wrap each asparagus stalk first with one half, then with the second half.
Roll in white sesame seeds.
Drizzle with a little oil.
Bake in the air fryer at 180 degrees for approx. 10-12 minutes until crispy.
Turn halfway through.
