Black Sesame Banana Bread W/ Sudachi Crème Fraîche
  1. Preheat oven to 325F.

  2. Line a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper with overhand sides for easy removal.

  3. In a small sauce pan, brown your butter and set aside to cool.

  4. In a large bowl, toss together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.

  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, brown butter, eggs, and vanilla.

  6. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  7. Begin layer the plain batter into the center of the prepared pan followed by a spoonful of the sesame seed paste right on top. Give the pan a little shake back and forth to help them start spreading out.

  8. Repeat the process of alternating between the two batters until all is used up. The batter will naturally spread out, creating a ripple appearance.

  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  10. Serve with sudachi crème fraîche, flakey sea salt, and some honey.

  11. In a small bowl, combine the crème fraîche, sudachi, and lime zest.

  12. Mix and store in the fridge until ready to serve.
