Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  2. In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.

  3. Slowly add milk and cream, whisking constantly until smooth and thickened, about 3–4 minutes.

  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese and Parmesan; stir until melted and smooth.

  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken and ham. Pour the sauce over and stir to coat.

  6. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining ½ cup cheese on top.

  7. In a small bowl, mix crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter. Sprinkle over the casserole.

  8. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until hot and golden on top.

  9. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color.
