Homemade Birria Tacos
  1. In a hot skillet with a little oil, add the dried peppers and cook until softened and fragrant.

  2. Add the onion, jalapenos, garlic, cinnamon, cloves, and Sazon. Cook until everything has some good color.

  3. Add the fresh tomatoes, remove everything from the pan, and puree in a food processor.

  4. In the same skillet, sear the oxtails and beef chuck roast.

  5. Add the pureed mixture to the slow cooker along with the meat. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.

  6. Dip the corn tortillas in oil and cook on a skillet or griddle.

  7. Assemble the tacos with the meat, onion, cilantro, and cheese.
