  1. Mix the melted butter into the semolina and let is soak minimum 30 minutes (For best result 6-12 hours)

  2. 2 cups coarse semolina - ⅓ cup melted butter

  3. Add in the rest of the ingredients and combine very well

  4. ⅓ tsp salt - ⅔ tsp baking powder - ⅓ tsp baking soda - 1 ⅓ cups greek yogurt - ⅓ white sugar

  5. Transfer the dough into a floured baking tray and spread into 1 inch thick layer

  6. With a knife create squares making sure to cut all the way down

  7. Top each square with an almond

  8. Almonds

  9. Bake at 350F for 40-50 minutes or until the top and bottom are dark golden brown

  10. Prepare the syrup by bringing the sugar, water, lemon juice and orange blossom syrup to a boil and setting aside to cool

  11. 2 white sugar - 1 cup water - 1 lemon juice - 1 tbsp orange blossom water

  12. Directly out of the oven, drown with orange blossom syrup and let it sit to soak in
