The Blackberry Margarita
  1. Combine the blackberries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce to a simmer and let cook for 5-10 minutes until the fruit has thoroughly cooked.

  3. Press the mixture through a fine mesh strainer and cool.

  4. The syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to 6 weeks.

  5. Fill a cocktail pitcher with ice for the individual cocktail or a large pitcher if making the full recipe.

  6. Combine tequila, blackberry syrup, orange liqueur, and lime juice in a cocktail pitcher or more giant pitcher for a full pitcher amount.

  7. Stir until very cold.

  8. And pour it into a glass filled with more ice. I like a single old-fashioned glass for this cocktail.

  9. Garnish with fresh blackberries and lime slices.
