Cheeseburger Baklava
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F

  2. Brown beef over high heat until deeply caramelized. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of sugar. Drain excess fat

  3. In the same pan, sauté onions until soft and lightly golden. Return beef to pan. Fold in diced pickles and cheese. Mix until melted and cohesive. Let cool slightly before layering

  4. Brush a 9x13 pan generously with butter

  5. Lay down the first sleeve of phyllo sheets and butter each layer or pour about ¾ cup melted butter over the full stack until fully hydrated and glossy

  6. Spread cheeseburger filling evenly and add another layer of cheese

  7. Top with second sleeve of phyllo and repeat the butter process

  8. Using a sharp knife, cut into diamonds before baking. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top

  9. Bake 45–60 minutes until deeply golden and crisp. If browning too fast, tent loosely with foil

  10. Rest at least 15 minutes before serving so the layers set

  11. Serve with burger sauce for dipping
