Add dry ingredients to the bag in this order: light brown sugar (½ cup), granulated sugar (¼ cup), baking soda (¼ teaspoon), baking powder (¼ teaspoon), and salt (¼ teaspoon), all-purpose flour (1¼ cups), chocolate chips (½ whole and ½ cup chopped nuts or other mix-ins.
On the bag, write the following (or print off my free tags!) Add: 1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and ½ cup (1 stick) melted butter. Roll into 2-tablespoon balls, gently flatten, and bake at 350°F 8-10 minutes.
Store in pantry for 1-2 months. Each bag makes about a dozen cookies.
