Speedy Sausage Rolls
  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas 5

  2. Cut a diagonal line across each slice of bread, then cut off the crusts

  3. Wrap each piece of bread around a sausage, with the end of the sausage sticking out. Place on a baking sheet

  4. Put the butter or margarine in a small pan and heat gently until just melted. Adult supervision is required

  5. Brush the melted butter or margarine over the sausage rolls

  6. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, until the bread has browned and the sausages are cooked through. Ask an adult to remove them from the oven

  7. Cool, then serve with some carrot and cucumber sticks or pack into a sealable plastic container to transport
