Turkish Pide
  1. In a mixing bowl, put the yeast and granulated sugar, add warm water, and activate for 10 minutes.

  2. Add flour, oil, salt, and water and knead the dough until soft.

  3. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.

  4. Remove the air from the dough by punching it and knead it again.

  5. Repeat the punch and knead procedure twice, half an hour apart.

  6. Divide the ready dough into 6-8 parts.

  7. Ferment these parts for 10 minutes and roll them into an oval shape with a rolling pin.

  8. Spread tomato sauce and put cheese varieties including parmesan, and cover it in an airtight way.

  9. Stretch the pide to the tray.

  10. Heat the oven to broil and cook your pide on the top rack for 5 minutes.

  11. Preheat the oven to 400F.

  12. Put it on the bottom rack and cook for another 10 minutes.

  13. Serve hot.
