Mum's Chocolate Sauce
  1. Break or chop chocolate into small pieces.

  2. Add all ingredients apart from the butter into a heatproof bowl, or double boiler.

  3. Stir over a pot of gently simmering water until combined, then whisk (very very) well until emulsified and glossy.

  4. Or, use a stick blender to make your life much easier.

  5. Whisk in Butter.

  6. Portion into glass jars.

  7. Tie a ribbon around.

  8. Store in fridge until you're ready to gift to a friend.

  9. To serve; heat gently in the microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring in between until pourable.
