Marie’s Pie Dough
  1. Mix flour, shortening and salt with fingers until it resembles a crumb mixture.

  2. Then add water.

  3. This makes two 9”, two crust pies and 1 shell.

  4. Before cooking, rub a bit of milk on the top crust and sprinkle with sugar.

  5. Bake all pies on the lowest rack of oven.

  6. Bake pies at 375 F for 1 hour or until pie shakes loose, shells at 375 degrees for 8-13 minutes.

  7. Pie crusts can be frozen, when baking, bake them on 400 minutes, 375 F for 30 minutes.
