Coat the chicken breasts in a mixture of flour, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Flash cook the seasoned chicken in butter on a hot pan for 1-2 minutes on each side (optional).
Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and cook for about 8 hours on low heat or on high heat for a shorter time.
Stir in double cream and fresh basil into the slow cooker just before serving. Let it simmer for the last 10 minutes.
