Spray a 2-quart casserole dish or 11x7-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Microwave frozen ravioli in their bag for 1 minute, just to defrost them a little.
Spread about ¼ cup pasta sauce in bottom of pan. Place ⅓ of ravioli in a single layer on top of sauce. Spoon ⅓ of pasta sauce evenly over ravioli.
Repeat layers 2 more times with remaining ravioli and sauce. Top with shredded cheese.
Bake uncovered at 350℉ for 40-45 minutes, or until bubbly around the edges and cheese is nicely melted.
Any flavor frozen ravioli, such as spinach & cheese or beef, can be used in place of the cheese ravioli. We do not recommend using mini round ravioli as it does not do well creating the same layered effect as the larger ravioli. -- But, minis can work in a pinch.
We use canned Hunt's Traditional Pasta Sauce.
Pan size is important here, as the ingredient amounts in this recipe will not fill a 9x13-inch baking dish. To make a 9x13-inch pan of lazy lasagna, double the ingredients.
