  1. Grate the potatoes and soak in ice water to remove starches

  2. Drain potatoes and squeeze out excess moisture from the grated potatoes

  3. Heat butter and oil in a pan

  4. Add the grated potatoes and flatten into a patty, smoothing edges

  5. Cook until golden brown on both sides by flipping onto a plate to turn
