Medium-Boiled Eggs (Instant Pot, 3+3 method)
  1. Set eggs on the trivet or in basket, add water, lock the lid in place, and turn the knob to sealing.

  2. Click the Egg or Manual button, and set the time to 3 min. (4 was too long.) Don't use the Adjust button; stay in Normal mode. The pot comes up to pressure in 8 or 9 minutes, and then the cooking timer counts down.

  3. When pressure cooking is done, allow 3 min. (4 was too long) for natural pressure release (NPR). Small or room-temp eggs, -1 min NPR.

  4. Set the knob to venting. When the pin drops, in about a minute, remove the lid.

  5. Put the eggs in cold water, preferably with ice, and leave them for at least 5 minutes. This stops the cooking.

  6. Crack from the wide end, and start peeling at the air pocket.
