One Pan Creamy Broccoli Orzo
  1. Heat oil in a medium pan over medium heat (make sure it has a lid but don't use it yet).

  2. Add onions and cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until they are translucent. Add garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the garlic is fragrant.

  3. Add orzo, spices, chicken broth, and broccoli. Stir well and make sure all the orzo is covered with the chicken broth.

  4. Reduce heat to medium low. Cook for 6 minutes covered. Stir halfway through to prevent the orzo from sticking to the bottom.

  5. After the initial five minutes of cooking, add the lentils and stir. Put the lid back on and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes or until orzo is completely cooked. Stir halfway through to prevent the orzo from sticking to the bottom.

  6. Remove lid and stir in parmesan cheese. Add lemon juice and additional black pepper before serving!
