Stir cornstarch into water.
Let it sit for a minute
Heat the oil to 412°F
Stir the mixture at the bottom of the oil pot. Stir flour water mix to re-suspend.
Dump cornstarch in real slow, letting it sit between additions
Let it cook down for a few minutes without stirring
Wait for white bubble formations to turn brown
Continue cooking until a cake-like formation rises to the top
Once it becomes hard, flip it onto itself to bring together
Remove from heat, remove cooked corn starch raft and drain.
Discard the cooked cornstarch mixture
The cleaned oil is now ready to use again
