Lemon Garlic Chicken
  1. Clean the chicken and pat it dry using a paper towel. Add it to a 9x13 pan that’s lined with parchment paper. Add the peeled potatoes.

  2. Mix the garlic and onion powder, paprika, coriander, salt, black pepper, and turmeric.

  3. Sprinkle the spice mixture all over the chicken and potatoes, making sure to get it under the skin.

  4. Drizzle two tablespoons of olive oil and rub it all over.

  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 425℉ for 30 minutes, uncovered.

  6. Crush the garlic using a mortar and pestle, or you can mince it as well, but it releases less garlic flavor.

  7. Add the crushed garlic to a bowl along with the water, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, and aleppo pepper.

  8. You could also zest some lemon for extra flavor.

  9. Pour this all over the chicken and potatoes, and cover with aluminum foil.

  10. Return to the oven for another 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken reads an internal temperature of 165℉.

  11. Broil for a minute or two to crisp up the skin and enjoy with pita bread.
