Ingredients:

6 large eggs

1 can of evaporated milk

1 can of sweetened condensed milk

A pinch of salt

A splash of vanilla extract (preferably Dominican or Mexican vanilla)

For the caramel:

½ cup sugar (100g)

⅛ cup water (30g)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Make the caramel:

In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water.

Cook over medium heat until the mixture caramelizes and turns a golden brown.

Pour the caramel into a baking dish, tilting to coat the bottom evenly.

Set aside and let it harden.

Prepare the flan mixture:

In a blender, combine the eggs, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, salt, and vanilla extract.

Blend until smooth.

Assemble and bake:

Pour the flan mixture over the hardened caramel in the baking dish. Cover tightly with aluminum foil

Place the baking dish in a larger pan filled with hot water to create a water bath.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and serve:

Let the flan cool to room temperature.

Carefully flip the flan onto a serving plate.

Refrigerate until cold.
