  1. Prep sticky rice: Soak sticky rice in water the night before, strain, add sesame seeds and furikake, mix and set aside.

  2. Prep honeynut squash: Roast squash halves until tender, scoop out flesh into a mixing bowl.

  3. Make meatball mixture: Add ground pork, scallions, garlic, ginger, salt, sugar, vinegar, and egg to the bowl, mix well.

  4. Assemble rice and meatballs: Roll meat filling into meatballs, coat with rice grains, place in bamboo steamer.

  5. Steam the meatballs: Steam for 20 minutes until rice softens and meat is cooked through.
