Chocolate Mousse Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)

  2. Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan

  3. Mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt

  4. Add egg, milk, oil, vanilla, and hot water; mix until smooth

  5. Bake for 22–25 minutes

  6. Cool completely

  7. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form

  8. Gently fold in melted chocolate until smooth and airy

  9. Place cake on a serving plate or inside a springform ring

  10. Spread mousse evenly over the cake layer

  11. Smooth the top with a spatula

  12. Refrigerate for 3–4 hours, or until fully set

  13. Remove ring, decorate as desired, slice, and enjoy
