In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and crumbled.
Drain any excess fat.
Add the taco seasoning and stir to coat the beef.
Stir in the uncooked rice, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and water.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
Serve immediately.
