Crispy Honey Chicken

Marinate Chicken

  1. Cut chicken into 1cm pieces. Add salt, chicken powder, baking soda, corn starch, and mirin.

  2. Mix well and marinate 10 minutes.

Prepare Batter

  1. Mix flour, corn starch, and oil.

  2. Add water and stir until smooth.

  3. Add baking powder and mix.

Fry Chicken

  1. Add marinated chicken to batter and coat.

  2. Heat oil to 180°C. Fry chicken pieces for 3 minutes until golden.

  3. Raise oil temperature to 190–200°C. Fry again for 15 seconds. Remove and drain.

Glaze Chicken

  1. Heat honey, sugar, and rice vinegar until sugar melts and syrup bubbles.

  2. Add fried chicken and toss quickly until coated.

Serve

  1. Serve topped with toasted sesame seeds.

  2. Optionally, plate on puffed fried vermicelli noodles.
