Cream together softened butter and sugars
Add egg and vanilla extract and continue mixing
Add dry ingredients and mix only until combined, do not over mix
Roll balls 2 tablespoon size each and pat down slightly to resemble hockey puck
Bake at 350° for 10 to 11 minutes
While cookies are baking, prepare butter sauce by melting 2 tablespoons of butter
Add powdered sugar, water and vanilla to melted butter, stirring continuously until powdered sugar is dissolved, do not bring to boil
Remove butter sauce from heat and let set for five minutes
When cookies are out of oven, let cool slightly and top with butter sauce
Once cookies have cooled completely, sprinkle with powdered sugar
Store covered on counter for up to 4 days
