Rinse the pork, pat dry and season with salt and pepper.
Place the pork in the slow cooker and scatter onion over pork. Sprinkle in garlic and add wine.
Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until the meat is tender and easily shreds
Remove the pork and let it rest for a few minutes then shred the pork using two forks or meat shredders
