Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks
  1. Activate yeast:

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  3. Make dough:

  4. Stir in flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead by hand or with a stand mixer for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. First rise:

  6. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 45–60 minutes, or until doubled in size.

  7. Shape the breadsticks:

  8. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Roll dough into a rectangle (about ½ inch thick) on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.

  9. Add topping:

  10. Brush dough with melted butter mixed with garlic. Sprinkle evenly with mozzarella, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning.

  11. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and edges are golden brown.
